philanthropic work of their credit unions.

Lending School Scholarships

ICUF offers annual scholarships for credit union employees to attend Lending School, offered by the Iowa Credit Union League.

2019 Caregivers Association Wage Study Sponsor

Iowa is one of the fastest aging states in the nation. The need for home care workers will continue to rise in the next decade, however, Iowa does not currently have enough trained workers to meet this growing demand. According to the United Ways of Iowa 2018 ALICE Report, caregivers' wages were among the lowest in the state. With ICUF's mission led focus on financial well-being, we are proud to sponsor the 2019 Iowa Caregivers Association Wage Study.

ICUF teamed up with United Ways of Iowa and Alliant Energy to fund the 2018 ALICE Report. This report is a valuable tool in gaining perspective on the growing financial struggles of Iowa's families. ALICE is an acronym that stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. These are working families who have income above the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), but cannot make ends meet each month.

The 2018 report provides a deep county-by-county analysis of ALICE families across Iowa during calendar years 2014-2016. Click here to learn more and download the full report.
