The Iowa Credit Union Foundation (ICUF) is proud to mark a milestone in its mission to champion financial well-being for all as it celebrates 30 years of impactful community involvement. Since its inception in 1995, ICUF has strategically supported the financial well-being of Iowans to promote independence, empowerment, and financial literacy.

Guided by the credit union philosophy of people helping people, ICUF has awarded over $4.8 million in grants, scholarships, program investments, and pledges to mission-aligned initiatives. Through these efforts, ICUF has made a difference in the lives of Iowans by strengthening financial well-being, fostering educational growth, and providing crucial financial resources to underserved communities.

ICUF has played a pivotal role in empowering Iowa credit union members, awarding more than $2.3 million in matched savings to over 1,200 individuals working toward financial independence. More than $270,000 has been distributed through scholarships to help members further their education. Additionally, ICUF has invested more than $259,000 in financial education initiatives, including the ‘People Helping People’ Financial Coach Training program, which now includes 250 coaches in 42 credit unions statewide.
