Investing in Iowa's Financial Well-Being
Last year, ICUF published a state-wide report, the Economic Realities of Communities of Color. Based on the findings of this report, a multi-year commitment has been made to address barriers to financial well-being.
The ICUF Financial Inclusion Grant Program will direct funding to organizations that are enhancing financial inclusion and improving financial well-being for minority populations in Iowa in the areas of: affordable housing, business ownership, childcare, education, employment, and health access and outcomes.
Grant Process
Iowa credit unions must nominate community organizations for those organizations to be eligible to apply for grants. Credit union nominations are being accepted through May 17.
Nominated organizations passing ICUF's eligibility criteria and program evaluation will be invited to apply for grants in the $5,000 - $10,000 range.
ICUF will review grant applications and disburse grants directly to awarded organizations to fund work improving the financial well-being of minorities.
