ICUF Fundraising Campaign Update: $64,695

Grants & Scholarships

Legislative & Regulatory Issues Grant: Apply Today! 


LegReg Broch 2012 Under the Small Credit Union Grant offered by ICUF, $2,500 will be available to cover registration fees for the 2012 ICUL Legislative & Regulatory Conference. The grant is available to credit unions with an asset size of $25 million and below.

(This grant replaces the previous Governmental Affairs Conference grant.)

$50,000 of FREE Financial Education for Credit Union Employees Available!  


Thanks to a grant from the Investor Protection Trust and the leadership of the Iowa Insurance Division, up to 500 employees of credit unions, and the employer groups they serve, will have an opportunity to participate in the Investor Education in Your Workplace® (IEiYW®) program.

The IEiYW® program is an award winning 10-hour online financial and investment education program designed for credit union employees. The IEiYW® program begins in April 2012 and ends in July 2012. The topics covered in the 10-hour online program are comprehensive - from the basics of saving and investing to retirement planning.

Participation in the IEiYW® education program is available at no charge to up to 500 employees of Iowa credit unions and the employer groups they serve.

The national Investor Education in Your Workplace® program is sponsored and underwritten by the nonprofit Investor Protection Trust, www.investorprotection.org.

2012 FIB Scholarship Deadline Quickly Approaching


Applications are currently being accepted online for the 2012 Family Involvement Board (FIB) scholarship program. Please remind your members the applicant must have an account in his or her name at your credit union
Essay Question
Unfortunately, many Americans try to avoid money matters altogether and deal with problems as they arise. However, even with some knowledge about managing finances, you can maintain a healthy financial life. How are you educating yourself on personal finance and money management issues?
Please include how you can utilize your credit union's financial education expertise.

NCUF Financial Education Project: Iowa Totals


NCUA IA Fin Ed The National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) completed a financial education inventory project in order to gather information nationwide on what credit unions are doing to promote financial education.
