Iowa Credit Union Foundation Hires Financial Education Consultant

Des Moines, Iowa—The Iowa Credit Union Foundation (ICUF) is pleased to announce that it has hired Adam Carroll as a Financial Education Consultant. Carroll will provide training and technical assistance to Iowa credit unions on financial education thanks to a grant from the Northwest Area Foundation.

Carroll will develop turn-key solutions and templates for credit unions to use to deliver financial education and will also teach credit union staff the best ways to present this information to their members.

“Our goal is to better train and equip credit unions to provide financial education to their members and potential members,” said Marybeth Foster, Executive Director, ICUF. “Adam is a great fit for our team and we are happy to have him on board.”

Carroll is the founder of National Financial Educators, a financial literacy program designed to educate college students across the country.

Carroll published “Winning The Money Game” in 2005 and has spoken about the importance of financial education to more than 150,000 people from all age groups, income demographics, and backgrounds.

“With a passion for public speaking, education, writing and a drive to see more Americans financially-free, I am committed to creating educational opportunities for the public to enhance their ability to live, work, and retire with dignity,” said Carroll.

Founded in 1995 as the philanthropic arm of the Iowa Credit Union League, the Iowa Credit Union Foundation's primary focus is to eliminate poverty in the state of Iowa. The Foundation seeks to carry out its mission to help Iowans build wealth, responsibility and independence through its various programs, grants and scholarships.
