Recognize a Credit Union, Individual or Community Partner in Volunteerism, Advocacy or Philanthropy
Do you know a credit union, individual leader or community partner who has demonstrated the people helping people philosophy in civic and charitable responsibility through volunteerism, advocacy or philanthropy in service toward charitable causes? Nominate them today for ICUF's 2017 Community Impact Award!
Nominations for this award will be taken from anyone active in the credit union movement. The leadership of ICUF's Board of Directors will judge nominations and present the award at ICUF Benefit Night during the Iowa Credit Union Convention on Sept. 14 in Des Moines.
Nominations are due Friday, July 14. Nominees will be judged on the following criteria:
Demonstration of outstanding service and dedication toward community based or charitable causes.
Participation in organized activities or organizations that support the needs of the community or state.
Have engaged their credit union or organization in community-based or charitable causes.

Collins Community Credit Union Member Benefits from Disaster Grant
A member at Collins Community Credit Union recently benefited from an ICUF disaster grant when they were displaced following a house fire. If one of your members is facing a disaster they can fill out this form to see if they are eligible for a disaster grant. Read more.
Congressman Rod Blum Learns on the Job at Dupaco
First District Congressman Rod Blum (R-Iowa) was on the job at Dupaco Community Credit Union's Sycamore branch in Dubuque to learn first-hand how credit unions, like Dupaco, fulfill their not-for-profit mission to improve each member's financial well-being.
As part of his visit, Blum learned about Dupaco Credit History Lessons, met a small business owner, and served members on the teller line. Blum also met with Dupaco MoneyMatch participant Delora Beal, who led herself out of a transitional housing program and into sustainable employment and housing.Read more.
