ICUF Disaster Grant Helped Members of Dupaco Community Credit Union

ICUF's disaster grants are for Iowa credit union members who suffer damage to their home due to a disaster. If a member of your credit union needs assistance, please have them complete and return the disaster grant application form.

Save the Date for the ICUF Golf Classic on Wednesday, June 14
Save the date for this year's Iowa Credit Union Foundation Golf Classic on Wednesday, June 14 at Brown Deer Golf Club in Coralville. Iowa credit union leaders and sponsors will compete in a four-person best shot golf outing to support ICUF. Stay tuned for more information.

Biz Kid$ Financial Education Grants Now Available from the National Credit Union Foundation
Credit unions can now apply for a Biz Kid$ Financial Education Grant from the National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation). The deadline to apply is Friday, Mar. 31. This grant can be used to fund innovative programs that improve the financial education of youth through the use of the Biz Kid$ program. Download the application form.

Taking Back the Narrative: How to Talk About Immigrants and Immigration Webinar Tomorrow, Feb. 23
Taking Back the Narrative is a free webinar tomorrow, Feb. 23, from 12 - 1 p.m, hosted by The Immigrant Learning Center (ILC) Public Education Institute. Interact directly with experts in messaging strategies, media engagement and immigrant/refugee integration. The webinar will illustrate the most effective techniques for creating empathy, combating myths and building bridges to promote a greater understanding of immigrants and refugees. Veridian Credit Union Celebrates First Omaha Branch With School Donation
Veridian employees celebrated a milestone in Waterloo, Iowa-based credit union's expansion into Omaha, Nebraska. City officials, chamber representatives and local school administrators gathered with staff at Veridian's branch at 15001 West Maple Road for a ribbon-cutting event and donation presentation to three local schools. In the weeks following the branch's Dec. 26 opening, the credit union launched its Veridian Gives Back program and asked for public input on which of eight local schools should receive a portion of $4,000 in donations. Read more.
