ICUF Community Impact Award

The Community Impact Award was created in 2015 to recognize individuals within the Iowa credit union movement who have demonstrated outstanding civic and charitable responsibility through volunteerism, advocacy or philanthropy in service toward community-based charitable causes. This year the award is expanding to include credit unions and community partners of the Iowa Credit Union Foundation (ICUF) who demonstrate the people helping people philosophy.

The 2017 ICUF Community Impact Award Winners are:

Serve Credit Union
Established by Des Moines Police Officers

Serve Credit Union, established by Des Moines Police Officers, has faithfully served the needs of officers and their families in good times and in times of tragedy. During 2016 the Des Moines Police Department faced unfathomable tragedy with the loss of three officers. Serve Credit Union assisted the department in the creation of memorial funds to support the families of these fallen heros. Thousands of donations were collected from all over the country thanks to the leadership and dedication of Serve Credit Union.
