Think of ICUF During the Season of Giving

ICUF continues to lead the most active and largest asset building IDA program in the state of Iowa, with $1.6 million dollars matched. ICUF has provided nearly $600,000 for grants to assist families affected by natural disasters, $115,000 invested in financial literacy efforts and more than $100,000 for educational scholarships.

None of this is possible without the collective, charitable support from donors like you. All donations make a difference in serving ICUF's mission of helping Iowans build wealth, responsibility and financial independence.

As you consider your charitable giving this holiday season, please consider our Iowa Credit union members and their families in need by making a contribution to ICUF. Click here for more information on how to donate.

Credit Unions for Kids: Vote for Miracles

The University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital is celebrating their 20th anniversary of the Credit Unions for Kids program. The support of the credit union community here in Iowa and the Children's Miracle Network region has helped provide incredible resources for the new hospital, which will be critical in serving the children and families treated daily in the new, state of the art facility!

To help us ensure that they continue to provide the finest in pediatric healthcare, they invite employees and members of Iowa credit unions to join them to "get out the vote" starting Nov. 29 and ending Dec. 20. At the conclusion of the promotion, the top five hospitals will be awarded a total of $100,000 on behalf of America's credit unions, compliments of CO-OP Financial Services.

To receive an email reminder when voting opens, encourage your staff and members to visit www.VoteForMiracles.org. Individuals can vote once a day over the course of the three-week campaign. The hospital with the most votes will win $50,000. Second through fifth will receive $20,000, $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000 respectively. When a vote is cast, voters have the option to choose their credit union. The credit union responsible for the most votes in each of the winning markets will be invited to participate in the check presentation for the top hospital.

To support your efforts and rally the vote, resource materials are available at www.CU4Kids.org/VoteForMiracles.

AMC United Way Campaign Raises More Than $48,000

Employees of ICUL's holding company, Affiliates Management Company (AMC) and its family of companies raised more than $48,000 for United Way of Central Iowa during the company's annual fundraising campaign. There was over an 80 percent participation rate in the company wide effort, which exceeded its fundraising and participation goals. Employees were able to designate donations towards the general United Way fund or to a charity of choice, which included ICUF.
