Satisfaction Survey - Complete by July 31
|

The Iowa Credit Union Foundation's (ICUF) charitable work is done on behalf of credit unions and for the benefit of your members, we want to hear from you!
 Please take a few minutes and answer this short survey. Your responses will be shared with the ICUF Board of Directors and inform strategic planning and budget discussions.

2012 Fundraising Campaign Update: Only $3,600 to go!
|
|
|
 ICUF would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all who have donated to our 2012 Fundraising Campaign.
A special thank you to CO-OP Financial Services, Ascentra Credit Union and the Northeast Chapter of Credit Unions for their recent, generous donations. CO-OP donated $4,000 to the campaign, while Ascentra added $1,000 to its 2012 donations and the chapter raised $612 at its annual picnic.
We are close to our goal of raising $100,000 and currently sit at $96,400. Can you help us meet or exceed it? If you would like more information on making a donation to ICUF, click here.

Financial Education CDs
|
|

ICUF, in partnership with its financial education consultant, Adam Carroll, launched a financial education CD program designed with your membership in mind.
 |
|
Money in Your 20s is one of the four topics available.
|
This program provides four new audio programs with content targeted to your members and their children. The product is professionally produced and housed in a CD case. Your credit union can distribute them to members at branches, events and annual meetings.
Each CD will have your credit union's name displayed on the case and a letter from your credit union's CEO printed and inserted in the product.

Upcoming Grant and Scholarship Deadlines
|
|
League President's Scholarship Deadline August 3
The League President's Scholarship provides Iowa credit unions, their employees and their chapters with funding for Iowa Credit Union League (ICUL) education events, national schools, internal educational activities, community educational projects and certification programs.
Two small credit union grants are available:
2013 Small Credit Union Planning & Technology Grant
This grant allows Iowa credit unions under $25 million in assets to apply for  funds to purchase new technology or for credit union strategic planning or consultation needs.
2013 Small Credit Union ICUL Legislative & Regulatory Conference Grant
This grant allows one manager and one board member of Iowa credit unions under $25 million in assets to apply for funding to attend the 2013 Iowa Credit Union League's Legislative & Regulatory Conference in Des Moines.
 An exciting new change is coming to the FIB Scholarship for 2013. Look for more information to come!

Silent Auction Items Needed!

ICUF will host its annual silent auction on Thursday, September 20 during the 2012 Convention in Coralville in an effort to raise funds for ICUF programs and services that benefit your credit union, staff and members.
Popular silent auction items include:

The deadline to submit an item is August 31.

ICUF Benefit Night September 20
|
|
After day one of the 2012 Iowa Credit Union Convention, join us as we cut loose at the 2012 ICUF Benefit Night on the Marriott Hotel Outdoor Patio.
Connect with fellow attendees over hors d'oeuvres and cocktails as you enjoy evening entertainment. Admission can be purchased through the Convention registration website. Your support is much appreciated.

CUAid Activated for Colorado
|
|
|
 The National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) has activated the online disaster relief system CUAid.coop to raise money for credit union people affected by the wildfires in Colorado.
As donations are posted through CUAid.coop, NCUF is coordinating with the Mountain West Credit Union Association to distribute money efficiently to credit union employees and members in the affected areas.
ICUF has donated $500 to help the cause. If you would like to help, donations are still being accepted. More information is provided online.

Miracle Jeans Day is September 12
|
|

 Miracle Jeans Day is Credit Unions for Kids' second national campaign for 2012. On Wednesday, September 12, credit union employees across the country will wear jeans to work in exchange for a $5 donation to their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital!
